Welcome to Mediabolaget MB1!

A film production company since in 1988, focusing on service, commitment and flexibility. We build the strategy and concept to help you tell your unique story, whether for product launches, commercials, PR, corporate or brand communication.

We create movies with a wide variety of form and content, and manage the complete production process in-house. Our home is Mosebacke on Södermalm, in central Stockholm, where our office, post-production and film studio services are on site, making it a convenient and effective one-stop-shop.

Concept & Script

We start with the final cause, understanding what the client wants to achieve: the purpose of the film, the target demographic and viewing context; the universe of the film. Based on the client's brief and our own research, we create a concept and a storyline that we present in order to ascertain a common

goal when it comes to the film's content, feel, tone, look and storytelling style. The well-developed and efficient interaction between direction, cinematography, script writing and project management has a strong impact on the final result.

Filming

Based on each project's prerequisites we choose the team and tools. A combination of technical know-how and artistic feel dictates the image composition, lighting and camera movements that create the visual storytelling of the film.
The filming equipment is cleverly adapted to different kinds of shooting environments, and for easy transportation between locations.

Our greenscreen film studio is always set, and can be used in a great variety of ways for both filming and still photography. All casting is done through an exhaustive selection process in several steps, where we finally offer the client relevant candidates to choose from. Clear project management with detailed time schedules and visual storyboarding streamlines the process and gives it transparency for all participants.

Motion Graphics

We create motion graphics to visualize and amplify storytelling and to show things that do not exist or that are impossible to capture on camera.

This could mean new products, future cityscapes or an abstract, dreamy feel expressed through 2D and 3D animation. Sometimes, we integrate motion graphics with live-action footage.

Editing

In editing the desired look and feel is extended and refined. The story is brought to life through the artistry of weaving photography, animation, sound and music together.

The rearranging of shots and scenes, and choices regarding timing and rhythm all contribute to creating a dynamic whole.

Sound Design

Combining visuals and audio is an essential part of storytelling. In our sound studio, we record voiceovers (in many different languages) and sound effects, and the sound mix completes the process.

We adapt our sound equipment to different recording environments to make sure that the sound we get is clear and in no way muddled.

Delivery

We master and compress your film in any of a variety of formats; Quicktime, Windows Media, etc., for the Internet, TV, applications, DVD, LED displays, etc. and deliver by file sharing, FTP, USB, etc.

If needed, we translate the film and provide subtitles or voiceovers in various languages. All projects are maintained with double backups at MB1 so that they can easily be reopened in case of any future updates.

Absolut Vodka is a loyal client, a continuous relation since 1994. We have contracts with Stockholms Stad/Nästa Slussen, Norra Djurgårdsstaden and Skogsstyrelsen. Some of our assignments also comes from advertising- and brand agencies.

Mediabolaget M Olsson AB was started by Mats Olsson in 1988, primarily focusing on scientific and educational films. Today, his son Markus Olsson runs the company and has broadened its scope to include brand marketing films, commercials, product and informational films, as well as civic information and documentaries.

MB1 is in a constant state of progression by trying to understand today's world and where it is going. We make sure to always be on the leading edge when it comes to competencies, technology and trends in visual storytelling, pedagogy and dramaturgical methods.

We want to continuously raise our game when it comes to production quality, are continuously educating our employees and keeping track of what others are doing when it comes to film - and also in other trendsetting areas.
